At 9:30 we will pick you up from your hotel and driver towards the Berber village of Imouzzer. On the road is Lake Dait Aoua .it’s the most famous lake in Morocco. It is surrounded by a clean damp peerage and forests of oak trees and cedar. A belt of poplars and willows few feet around the lake on its immediate borders. ½ hour stop to admire the surrounding hills. Continue towards Ifrane (1650 m), a charming alpine vilage which is also known as « Little Switzerland ». At the entrance of Ifrane is the AlAkhawaine university. Then go to the alleys lined with flowers and French-style architecture of this picturesque town, built by the French on the chains of the Atlas Mountains. Discover Azrou, a Berber village built at an altitude of 1250 m with houses of the Berber tribes, the first inhabitants of Morocco. Watch the Berber men with their flocks, grinding flour, practicing their trades, especially upholstery and carpentry. Stroll through the famous lurking cooperative. Azrou is bordered by steep wooded hills and a volcanic outcrop which it also takes its name. Look at the houses with typical green doors and windows as well as its glazed green tiles. Stop for lunch. Nearby is the Cedars forest preserved in Morocco. Enjoy the cool and quiet of this beautiful region closer and see monkeys leaping and swinging through the trees. At the end of your visit, you will be dropped off at your hotel or at a point closer to Fez.
