It is a typical Portuguese harbour with lovely samples of the Moorish and Portuguese art. Essaouira is known for its artists who work the thuja, for its silver market, the harbour and its isles among other things. Departure at 8am from your hotel or Riad to Essaouira; known as Mogador or the jewel of the Atlantic. After 1 hour and half of driving you will stop for short break in a cafe in Sidi lmkhtar. Continue the road for about 1/2 hour to get the second stop to take a picture for some goats climbing the trees the Argan. Arriving to Essaouira The Medina of Essaouira (formerly “Mogador”) is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LISTED.
Then start to explore by your self the medina of Mogador from the fishing port Essaouira harbour docks with it’s ramparts to the old streets Fishmarket . Walking in the Souk (spices market) and experience differents crafts manufactured in the town.Enjoy the fresh seafood in a local restaurant near of the port or in the beach.After lunch you will have time to enjoy q sea side walk and after that we drive back to Marrakech in the road you will visit a women co-operative of Argan oil where you will watch women manufacturing this famous product.
